Railroad worksites often involve several teams working together, on different parts of the job. To ensure safety for all these teams, it is therefore essential to have an overall, coordinated vision to identify and anticipate risks and hazards and to implement a suitable safety organisation. FS SAFETY‘s experience and expertise is key to advising and helping its customers through its knowledge of the regulatory and technical aspects of the railroad sector.
Our railroad expertise covers a range of activities :
- Proposing, constructing and applying safety solutions.
- Driving new, innovation-led ideas: new technologies, new methods, new forms of organisation.
- Studying and implementing ways of improving worksite productivity and safety.
- Assessing the risks specific to worksites.
- Advising the project owner on safety issues.
- Setting out the processes and methods required for carrying out the work in compliance with regulatory standards (quality, safety, environment).
- Coordinating safety. Safety coordination covers the whole of the worksite cycle, from the planning stage until completion. This comes under the responsibility of the Health and Safety Coordinator (HSC).
Railroad safety expertise covering all networks :
Railroad safety requires extensive knowledge of the railroad environment. FS SAFETY employees are widely versed in the specific issues involved in railroad safety. Our expertise underpins our ability to organise safe working conditions within other types of infrastructure worksites, such as urban tram and tram-train systems, port authorities, rail-connected terminals and private industrial tracks.
